About the Artwork
I applied brown glaze on the bowl and drew geometric patterns with latex liquid for masking. I then applied black glaze and removed the latex.
The black glaze, brown glaze and the plain spaces accentuate the lively detailed patterns to give the piece a profound, rich feel.
This bowl can be used for ornamental use, or you can arrange some flowers by using a pinholder or simply floating flowers in water.

Iron glaze
Iron glaze (tetsuyū) refers to a broad category of iron-rich ceramic glazes. Depending on the iron content, these glazes can produce colors ranging from black to brown to amber. Blackish glazes with around five percent iron content are known as Tenmoku (Ch. Jian ware) glazes.
