      Born in Anamizu Town, Hosu County, Ishikawa Prefecture
    • 1974
      Graduated from the Woodcrafts Course at the Ishikawa Prefectural Wajima Vocational High School
    • 1975
      Studied Chinkin under Fumio Mae (Important Intangible Cultural Property Holder in Chinkin)
    • 1978
      Completed the Chinkin Course at the Ishikawa Prefectural Institute of Wajima Lacquer Arts
    • 1981
      Designated as a Domestic Researcher for the Agency for Cultural Affairs
    • 1984
      Attended and completed the Kyushitsu (lacquerware) Course at the Ishikawa Prefectural Institute of Wajima Lacquer Arts
