  Born in Yamanaka Onsen, Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture
• 1950
  Studied lathe techniques under his father Koichi Kawakita
• 1962
  Selected for the 9th Japan Traditional Kōgei Exhibition for the first time. Selected 51 times to date
