    Style

I produce komon (finely patterned) textiles and sarasa (calico printied) textiles with a traditional dyeing technique using Ise Katagami (stencils). I am especially good at creating patterns that have depth by overlapping the stencils when dyeing.
I also produce hand-drawn sarasa textiles. I try to create delicate changes in color and movement of the lines.
