Expressing the Beauty of Plants with Underglaze Blue Painting Techniques
Kozue Ogata is a ceramic artist drawing plants and flowers that look gentle but dignified in underglaze blue painting. As she studied Seto blue and white ceramics which is known for descriptions of nature, she expresses the quiet, yet sparkling sights of nature with beautiful gradations of cobalt blue and forms of delicately blooming flowers. Her artwork with beautiful forms and painting techniques are evaluated highly within Japan and overseas.

2000Graduated from Aichi University of the Arts Graduate School of Fine Arts, Ceramics Master
Completion work "Tea Container with Design in Underglaze Blue" purchased by the University -
2001Established a kiln in Fujieda, Shizuoka after training at Seto Blue and White Ceramics Center

2012Selected as a commemorative gift presented to those awarded by Fujieda City, selected every year from this year onward

2021Vase with Underglaze Blue Design "Morning Glory" selected for the 68th Japan Traditional Kōgei Exhibition, purchased by the Imperial Household Agency
