Etsuko Kitaoka

I try to express things that have impressed me in nature and in our everyday lives in my textiles. I create a dynamic composition with delicate weaving, and I my specialty is making curved lines. I hope I can make those who see my kimonos and wear may kimonos happy.

  • 2010 Graduated from Kyoto University of the Arts, Correspondence Course, Faculty of Art and Design, Department of Fine Arts, Textiles Course (Starts learning textiles)
  • 2013 Attends the Wazazemi Workshop at Kyoto Art Center
    Submits to the "Wazazemi Presentation" at Kyoto Art Center, Japanese-style Room "Meirin"
  • 2016 Received guidance from Japan Kogei Association Full Members Takumi Hosomi and Ei Miyairi as a member of the "Wazazemi Study Group"
