I create my pieces based on the concept, "Borderless Lacquer Art" so that they can by used both in a Japanese or Western scene and match our modern life style. From 2021, I have also been working on two-dimensional artwork based on the themes "environmental issues" and "human rights".

I used abalone shells to express the design of a fusion of the lotus root and water. Lotus flowers are frequently used in designs, but I wanted to highlight the strong lotus root that supports the beautiful flower in the mud. (* The colors of the frame and mat may differ from the photo.)
