About the Artwork

This is the first kimono that I made.
I used crab apples from the crab apple tree that my grandparents planted to celebrate my entrance to elementary school.
I expressed the passage of time with the pink flower buds changing to white as they bloomed.
For people to wear and feel the season.

Techniques Used

Block print dyeing

In block print dyeing (mokuhanzome), a brush is used to apply dye to wooden blocks with designs carved into them.
