Comment on Award
The Bowl with Overglaze Enamel, Gold and Silver “Swimming Moon” was a piece in which I reviewed and reapproached the possibilities of gold and silver decorations. I used 5 different kinds of thick gold sheets and 5 different patterns, and repeated the process of layering and firing. The process was simple, but it was one of the most painstaking and time consuming pieces I've ever made. On receiving this award, I am very grateful to have been able to look back at the path that I had taken. This award has encouraged me and will support me going forward. Thank you very much.
