About the Artwork
Like the 193rd piece that I made before this, the Harvest Tenkai Rock Glass, I used mainly traditional chrysanthemum link patterns in the design.
- Large chrysanthemum links
- Chrysanthemum links with thin lines
- Small chrysanthemum links
- Chrysanthemum basket weave patterns
- Chrysanthemum with 24 leaves at the bottom of the glass
I cut the glass mixing these 5 types of chrysanthemum cuts.
These different types of cuts have a beauty that needs no explanation.
I consider this as a top level piece using chrysanthemum links as the main pattern.
It will be a perfect gift for yourself, for someone special, and for special occasions etc.

Techniques Used
Kiriko cut glass
Kiriko cut glass is made by using rotating grinders or diamond wheels to cut geometric patterns and curves into the surface of finished glass vessels. The patterns are evened and finished with fine polishing stones. Edo kiriko and Satsuma kiriko are especially famous.
