Description
In Japan, embroidery (shishū) dates back to the Asuka period (592–710). Dyed threads are handsewn into fabric with a needle to create designs.
Process
- STEP 1
The design is drawn on the fabric with whitewash dissolved in water.
- STEP 2
The fabric is set on the embroidery stand and embroidered.
- STEP 3
After the embroidery is done, the thread on the back of the fabric is glued, the fabric is ironed and the process is complete!
