Biography

• 1965
  Born as the second son of Yasuo Yamato, Intangible Cultural Property of Yamaguchi Prefecture
• 1988
  Graduated from Yamaguchi College of Arts, Department of Life Arts
• 1989
  Submitted to and selected for the first time for the Japan Traditional Kōgei Exhibition (selected 18 times from this year onward)
• 1993
  Selected for the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition for the first time (nominated for award once, selected 6 times)
  Recommended as Full Member of the Japan Kōgei Association
  Artwork purchased and added to the collection of the British Museum
• 1994
  Artwork purchased and added to the collection of Yamaguchi Prefectural Art Museum
• 1996
  Invited to submit to the Asahi Modern Craft Exhibition
  Kiln visited by Imperial Prince Mikasanomiya Takahito and Princess Mikasanomiya Yuriko
• 1998
  Artwork purchased and added to the collection of the Japan Foundation
• 1999
  Submitted to "Japanese Pottery: The Rising Generation from Traditional Japanese Kilns" overseas traveling exhibition sponsored by the Japan Foundation
