Biography
- 1943Born in Kyoto, raised in Tokyo
- 1967Graduated from Tamagawa University, College of Agriculture
Studied under Muan Nakazato, Living National Treasure of Karatsu Ware - 1972Became independent and built a kiln in Sarayama, Sue Town, Kasuya County, Fukuoka Prefecture
- 1974First solo exhibition at Nihombashi Mitsukoshi Main Store, 12 times from this year onward
- 1975Lecturer at Asahi Culture Center
- 1977Selected for the Japan Traditional Kōgei Exhibition for the first time, selected 31 times from this year onward
- 1983Becomes Full Member of the Japan Kōgei Association
- 2005Part-time lecturer at Arita College of Ceramics
- 2009Selected to submit to "Craftworks of Today in Kyushu and Okinawa – Tradition and Creation" held at Kyushu National Museum
Invited to submit to the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition - 2022Selected to submit to "Ceramics of the Past and of the Future: The Timelessness of Traditional Japanese Craft Arts", touring exhibition at 8 places (–2023)
