Biography

  • 1967
    Started training at a Kaga-yuzen studio in Kanazawa City
  • 1974
    Became an independent Yuzen artist
  • 1975
    Selected for the 22nd Japan Traditional Art Crafts Exhibition for the first time
  • 1999
    Specially invited to submit to the 50 maîtres :les arts appliqués dans le Japon contemporain (Mitsukoshi Etoile, France)

    Received the Medal with Purple Ribbon

    Designated as an Important Intangible Cultural Property Holder of “Yuzen”
