Seki Ishida

While keeping in mind the aesthetic essence of Japanese tradition such as Japanese style and grace, I have sought to capture the beauty of objects that have serenity and have kept on creating my works.
I hope you will feel in my pieces, a lingering moment of beauty and tranquility; a gentle breeze from Kyoto.

  • 1970 Started studying textile design after marrying Wataru Ishida
  • 1985 Started studying Pâte de Verre with her husband Wataru Ishida
  • 1990 Established a glass studio in Ichijoji, Hyogo
  • 1993 Selected for the Japan Traditional Kōgei Exhibition for the first time
