Submitting artwork mainly to the Japan Traditional Kōgei Exhibition (selected 25 times). Created tenmoku glazed pieces in the early days and started making celadon glazed pieces afterwards. Currently making Yao-zhou ware style celadon glazed pieces, which are olive green celadon ware that have been made since the Song Period in China.

  • 1972 Studied under Morikazu Kimura in Kyoto and Fukui
  • 1979 Built a kiln in his hometown Kashima City, Hamamachi
  • 1980 Selected for the Japan Traditional Kōgei Exhibition for the first time (selected 25 times from this year onward)
  • 1987 Becomes Full Member of the Japan Kōgei Association
  • 1990 Becomes member of the Saga Ceramic Art Association
  • 2000 "Line Patterned Celadon Glaze Bowl" added to the collection of the British Museum
