Biography
- 1944Born in Hamamachi, Kashima City, Saga Prefecture
- 1972Studied under Morikazu Kimura in Kyoto and Fukui
- 1979Built a kiln in his hometown Kashima City, Hamamachi
- 1980Selected for the Japan Traditional Kōgei Exhibition for the first time (selected 25 times from this year onward)
- 1987Becomes Full Member of the Japan Kōgei Association
- 1990Becomes member of the Saga Ceramic Art Association

Style
Submitting artwork mainly to the Japan Traditional Kōgei Exhibition (selected 25 times). Created tenmoku glazed pieces in the early days and started making celadon glazed pieces afterwards. Currently making Yao-zhou ware style celadon glazed pieces, which are olive green celadon ware that have been made since the Song Period in China.
