      Born in Bizen City as the first son of artist Tomoyuki Matsui
    • 1986
      Graduated from Kansai University, Faculty of Letters, Department of English Linguistics and Literature
    • 1987
      Completed course at Kyoto Municipal Institute of Industrial Research
      Starts studying under his father
    • 1988
      Selected for the Okayama Prefectural Art Exhibition
      (received the Prefectural Art Exhibition Award 4 times and the Incentive Award twice from this year onward)

      Selected for the Chūgoku Traditional Kōgei Exhibition (selected several times from this year onward)
