Shigaraki ware has been said to be rustic and simple since the old days, but I try to add uniqueness and dynamism to my artwork.

  • 1967 Graduated from Tama Art University, Department of Painting, Oil Painting Course
  • 1969 Started producing Shigaraki ware
  • 1974 Built a kiln
  • 1982 Built a semi-ground climbing kiln by himself
  • 2012 Designated as Holder of Intangible Cultural Property of Koka City (Shiga Prefecture)
