While carrying on the style of Echizen ware, I try to add modern essence on producing my artwork.

  • 1976 Born in Tsuruga City, Fukui Prefecture
  • 2003 Completed training at the Industrial Technology Center of Fukui, Pottery Training Center
  • 2004 Opened studio at his current address
  • 2009 Started working at the Fukui Prefectural Museum of Ceramics as leader of the curatorial department
    Started studying Echizen ware
  • 2012 Built a hole kiln
  • 2015 Lecture "The Beginning to Present of Echizen Ware" at Museum of Modern Ceramic Art, Gifu
  • 2016 Built a small hole kiln
  • 2018 Selected for the Japan Ceramic Society Incentive Awards Hokuriku Exhibition
  • 2019 Lecture "Taro Okamoto and Echizen" at Fukui Metro Theater
  • 2020 Submitted to "Utsuwa from Hokuriku - Material and Forms of 19 Artists" Exhibition at the Museum of Arts and Crafts Itami
