I make yūzen dyed kimonos using paste resist (itomenori) and dye. I want to make fun and beautiful kimonos with various motifs.

1955 Born in Fukushima Prefecture
1979 Studied under Genichi Wada at his studio in Waseda, Shinjuku
1982 Moved to Kyoto, Started producing yūzen dyed kimonos with itomenori paste resist
1994 Completed the Kyoto City Yūzenzome (hand drawing) Technical Training Course
1995 Studied under Mitsumi Shimizu at Dyeing Group "Moegi-kai"
1997 Selected for the 26th Kinki Traditional Kōgei Exhibition for the first time
Selected 12 times from this year onward (The 31st – 32nd, 34th, 36th – 38th, 42nd, 44th, 46th – 47th, 49th – 50th)
2006 Selected for the 40th Textiles Traditional Kōgei Exhibition for the first time, selected one more time at the 44th Exhibition
2008 Selected for the 55th Japan Traditional Kōgei Exhibition for the first time
