- 1955Born in Fukushima Prefecture
- 1979Studied under Genichi Wada at his studio in Waseda, Shinjuku
- 1982Moved to Kyoto, Started producing yūzen dyed kimonos with itomenori paste resist
- 1994Completed the Kyoto City Yūzenzome (hand drawing) Technical Training Course
- 1995Studied under Mitsumi Shimizu at Dyeing Group "Moegi-kai"
- 1997Selected for the 26th Kinki Traditional Kōgei Exhibition for the first time
Selected 12 times from this year onward (The 31st – 32nd, 34th, 36th – 38th, 42nd, 44th, 46th – 47th, 49th – 50th) - 2006Selected for the 40th Textiles Traditional Kōgei Exhibition for the first time, selected one more time at the 44th Exhibition

I make yūzen dyed kimonos using paste resist (itomenori) and dye. I want to make fun and beautiful kimonos with various motifs.
