I produce wood carved dolls finished with whitewash using traditional techniques from the Edo period.

  • 1984 Born as the second son of Kyoto Doll Artist, 14th Generation Shoho Menya
  • 2009 Graduated from Kyoto Saga University of Arts
  • 2011 Studied under Shoho Menya and started producing dolls
    Submitted to "Kyoto Dolls of the Next Generation" Exhibition at Kyoto Takashimaya Craft Salon
    Submitted to the Soujinkai Exhibition at Rihga Royal Hotel Osaka
  • 2014 Selected for the Kinki Traditional Kōgei Exhibition (selected every year from this year onward)
  • 2016 Selected for the Japan Traditional Kōgei Exhibition (selected several times from this year onward)
  • 2020 Becomes Full Member of the Japan Kōgei Association

  • 2015Received the New Artist Incentive Award at the 44th Kinki Traditional Kōgei Exhibition
