  • 1949 Born in Kyoto as the first son of textile artist and full member of the Japan Kōgei Association, Iwao Teratani
  • 1971 Starts training under his father to engage in his family business, dyeing
  • 1977 Selected for the 2nd New Artists' Textiles Exhibition
  • 1984 "Flower Kimonos" Exhibition with writer Tomiko Miyao
  • 1986 Submitted to the "Japanese Contemporary Art Exhibition" (Japan-Canada art exchange program)
