Harumi Ikeda

Style

I am attracted to plants and small animals, and I try to express them in traditional crafts. I make my artwork from flat metal and try to create a piece that looks as if it's alive by hammering and carving the metal.

  Born in Fukuoka Prefecture

  Graduated from Fukuoka Prefectural Dazaifu High School, Department of Arts
• 2015
  Graduated from University of Toyama, Faculty of Art and Design
• 2017
  Becomes independent as an artist after working as a jewelry maker
• Currently working in Toyama

  Received the Honorable Mention at the SOJO Biennale 2009

  Received the Grand Award at the 11th International High School Arts Festival

  Received the Excellence Award and Toyama Cultural Foundation Award at the 8th Ecchu Art Festa
