Biography
- 1956Born in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture
- 1980Graduated from Yamagata University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Advanced Engineering
- 1985Starts making pottery while working at the research and development division of a chemical manufacturer
- 1999Retires from the chemical manufacturer and becomes a full-time ceramic artist
Submitted to and selected for the first time for the Kahoku Kōgei Exhibition, selected and awarded 20 times from this year onward - 2001Opens the Pottery Workshop Kei Pottery School

Style
I try to express the feelings that I feel from scenes in nature in my designs.
1. I form the vessels on a potter's wheel to make water flowing patterns, and I use transparent pale blue glaze to express the sea.
2. I express scenes in nature by spraying on colored engobe and scraping it off.
