  • 1978 Born in Imari City, Saga Prefecture
  • 2002 Joined a pottery in Ohkawauchiyama
    Studied potter's wheel techniques under Seiroku Nakamura (Important Intangible Cultural Property of Saga Prefecture) for 5 years and Setsuzan Murashima for 5 years.
  • 2009 Selected for the West Japan Traditional Kōgei Exhibition (selected and awarded several times from this year onward)
  • 2013 Selected for the Tobiten ('13, '14, '16, '17)
  • 2014 Selected for the Arita International Ceramics Competition (selected and awarded several times from this year onward)
  • 2015 Designated as First Class Ceramics Manufacturing Specialist in hand-powered potter's wheel (National qualification)
  • 2017 Selected for the Japan Traditional Kōgei Exhibition for the first time
  • 2018 Selected for the “Arts of the Tea Ceremony” Exhibition ('18, '19, '29, '21)
    Becomes independent and builds his kiln "Aoki Pottery"
    Selected for the Japan Traditional Kōgei Exhibition (artwork purchased by the Imperial Household Agency)
