• 2003 Becomes an apprentice to Buddhist altar roiro (black lacquer) master OTSUKA, studies production and restoration of temples and Buddhist altar fittings
• 2007 Produces Buddhist altars at Furuichi Yoshito Buddhist Altar Shop
• 2009 Joins Takayama Kiyoshi Inc.
  Produces and restores Buddhist altars and Buddhist altar fittings
• 2018 Starts Hiroshima lacquerware division "Hiroshima Lacquerware Takayama Naoya"
  Studies base coating to roiro (black lacquer) on his own and starts producing lacquerware as a lacquering artist
• 2019 "Kanshitsu (dry lacquer) Snack Plate" selected for the 62nd Chūgoku Traditional Kōgei Exhibition
  "Iro Asobi (Playing with Colors)" selected for the Harima Crafts Biennale 2019
• 2020 Kanshitsu Plate selected for the 37th Lacquerware Traditional Kōgei Exhibition
• 2021 "Freedom" selected for the Japan’sTraditional Craft Competition
  "Akatsuki (Dawn)" selected for the 68th Japan Traditional Kōgei Exhibition
  "Utsuri" selected for the 2021 Craft Competition in Takaoka

  Received the Hiroshima Governor Award for "Akebono" at the 63rd The 50th Chūgoku Traditional Kōgei Exhibition
• 2021Received the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Award for "coro" at the Japan’sTraditional Craft Competition
  Received the Asahi Shimbun Award for "Nagare (Flow)" at the 38th Lacquerware Traditional Kōgei Exhibition
