Style

I work in a place that has a rich natural environment called Obara in Toyota City, Aichi. This area has been known for its paper-making culture from a long time ago. I combine the shitai (lacquerware with paper body) base using Japanese traditional paper that I make myself with kinma (cutting motifs on the surface and filling with colored lacquer) and try to make modern and fresh designs while making the most of the material.

  Graduated from Aichi University of the Arts, Graduate School of Fine Arts, Oil Painting Master's Course

  Completed research course at Kagawa Urushi Lacquerware Institute
