Artist Comment

The word "sense of stagnation" is often heard these days. I myself sometimes feel like escaping from my everyday life and being transported somewhere far away. I designed this piece based on this feeling. I expressed the sunrise shining on the sea with the color gradation and the waves with the weft kasuri. I hope people can feel a sense of openness. I didn't think much about the design and there are many things to reflect on, but with those in mind, I would like to move on to my next piece.
