I am very grateful to have received the New Artist Award.
I used flat design elements and made a gradation of gray on black on the sides, and the middle with various stripes on white.
I took great care to create a continuity between the black and white backgrounds so that the difference in color was not too extreme.
Additionally, I tried to create a sense of depth by using only stripes on half of the obi sash and using both stripes and dot lines on the other half.
I wanted to express the atmosphere before dawn. I created this piece imagining the various elements revealing themselves as the sun rises.
