    Style

    My specialty is woodwork. I try to fuse and harmonize the natural beauty of wood with forming techniques such as wood joinery and turning, and decorating techniques such as inlay and wiped urushi.

      Born in IiokaTown, Kaijo County, Chiba Prefecture (current Asahi City)
    • 1980
      Graduated from University of Tsukuba, Master's Program in Education
      Presented artwork at the Kofukai Art Exhibition, Nihon Shinkogei Exhibition, and the Japan Fine Arts Exhibition (Nitten) etc ( -1980s)
    • 1991
      Selected for the 26th West Japan Traditional Kōgei Exhibition for the first time (selected 31 times up to December 2022 from this year onward)
    • 1992
      Selected for the 5th Wood and Bamboo Traditional Kōgei Exhibition for the first time (selected 14 times up to December 2022 from this year onward)
