Kanta Yamada

Style

I use scenes and forms in nature that I feel are beautiful for motifs of my designs. I mainly use the dry lacquer (kanshitsu) technique which is a technique to make the base by hardening hemp cloth with lacquer.

  Graduated from Wajima Urushi Art Technical Training Center, Kyushitsu course
  Studied under Kunie Komori
  Selected for the 27th Lacquerware Traditional Kōgei Exhibition for the first time (selected every year from this year onward)
• 2013
  Selected for the 60th Japan Traditional Kōgei Exhibition for the first time (selected several times from his year onward)
  Becomes independent
