    About the Artist

    Style

I draw my designs based on the light, flow of the wind etc. that I feel with the five senses, and the impressions, affection, vitality, and dreams that touch my heart.
There are no grid lines for embroidery, so you can stitch freely. Techniques like the Sagara embroidery enables a wide variety of designs using dots, lines and surfaces, while the Suga embroidery that blends into the background can make unique shades and depth. By layering colors and using gradation, I feel that I can express the colors that I see through my senses on the textiles.
I twist the silk thread to make it look sheeny, and try to stitch delicately. With each and every one of these elements, I try to create organic beauty with relaxed lines but at the same time a beauty with order using neatly lined stitches.
