    Style

    As trees are alive, each and every one is different. I try to make the most of the wood grains of such wood, and think of the designs based on what it is going to be used for. I use the high quality Japanese traditional woodwork techniques that have been passed down for generations, while trying new structures and assembling methods.

    Biography

    • Studied product design at Kanazawa College of Art.
      Learned "The beauty of use" from Sori Yanagi.
      After giving birth and raising children overseas, starts woodwork.
      Learned how to assemble a large oblong chest from a joiner and joinery techniques at Kanazawa Rare Traditional Arts and Crafts Specialized School for Woodwork.
