    About the Artist

    Pursuing the Beauty of Asymmetrical Forms

    Ceramic artist Nami Takahashi pursues the beauty of asymmetrical forms in nature such as the fruit and seeds of plants, and creates artwork of these forms. Takahashi studied ceramics at Musashino Art University and the National Institute of Art and Ceramics in Faenza, Italy. She produces white porcelain pieces with dignified presence, using the beautiful shades and shadows as a decoration. Her artwork is highly evaluated in Japan and overseas, and has been added to the collections of various art museums and public facilities including the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo and Museo Internazionale delle Ceramiche in Faenza, Italy.
